EnerGuide Rating System Evaluations

Access rebates, grants, and a greater understanding of your homes energy use!

EnerGuide Rating System (ERS) evaluations provide homeowners with a clear picture of their home’s current energy consumption. The evaluation comes with an official EnerGuide Rating, information sheet, and label for your home.

An EnerGuide Evaluation helps take the guesswork out of upgrades that can lower utility costs, increase comfort, improve durability, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

You will first need an EnerGuide Evaluation completed to access available incentive program such as the Greener Homes Loan, Efficiency Manitoba Home Energy Retrofit Program, and the Mortgage Insurance Premium Rebates.

  • This is the official EnerGuide rating for you home. The rating is unique to each home and looks at all energy related aspects of the home including insulation, mechanical systems, building size and structure.

The energy advisor will complete an energy model of your house to determine the rating.

The lower the rating, the lower the energy use of the home.

  • Complementary to the EnerGuide Label, the Homeowner Information Sheet breaks down your homes energy use and heat loss.

It also provides your building details including insulation levels, windows, doors, and mechanical system performance.

  • After your initial energy evaluation of your house you will receive a Renovation Upgrade Report. This report outlines the recommendations of how to improve the energy efficiency of your home.

These upgrades include retrofits that may be eligible for grants through the Greener Homes Program, as well as other incentive programs.

There may also be upgrades that are recommended but not eligible for any incentive programs but will benefit the building performance.
